Marionette lines or melolabial fold, are the lines that appear from the corners of the mouth and the chin.
They are created over time by the repeated skin folding and decreased volume due to collagen reduction causing permanent volume reduction and static lines in the skin below the mouth. They often make use look like we are sad or angry, even when we are not.
